Michael Napier

Michael Napier, the progenitor of the firm, was born in West Palm Beach, Florida. Michael and family then moved to Riverside, California where he attended California Polytechnic High School. In 1967 Michael graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors degree in education, then went on to complete his Juris Doctorate at the same university in 1970. After receiving his law degree Michael was accepted to practice law by the American Bar Association, the Arizona Bar Association, and the Maricopa County Bar Association. Michael’s Continuing Legal Education includes the areas of lobbying, tort litigation, ethics and employment law. In addition to practicing law in Arizona, Michael has also been accepted to practice in the Ninth Circuit of the United States District Court.

Michael is well known for his strong relationship with the Arizona law enforcement community. Michael’s ongoing relationship with law enforcement began when the fledgling Phoenix Law Enforcement Association (PLEA) retained him in 1975. From that time forward, Michael has represented thousands of law enforcement officers and other pubic sector employees in just about every aspect of their professional and private lives. This representation includes, but is not limited to salary and benefit negotiations, grievance representations, pre and post termination litigation, union operations, class-actions law suits, labor-management relations, personal wills, and personal injury law. Long before it became popular to advocate the rights of law enforcement officers, Michael was on the front line making sure that society treated law enforcement officers in the same respectful manner that they expected law enforcement to treat them.

Michael’s personal interests include baseball, travel, reading, writing, and animal rescue. Michael strongly believes in becoming involved in his community. In that vein, Michael has sat on the boards of the Arizona Animal Welfare League, the YMCA, and the Arizona Dental Board, just to name a few. Finally, Michael’s current professional interests include the litigation of public sector labor law, insurance law, personal injury law, and wrongful death representations.
